Have you ever dreamed of being a business owner? Maybe a cozy corner café, a wild wizard’s potion hut, or a towering bookstore full of enchantments and charm? With today’s economy, it’s pretty hard to do that… But, at least you can do it on the SMP! Welcome to the Player Shopping District, a place to buy and sell whatever your heart desires.
"Wait, what are Player Shops?"
Glad you asked! Player Shops are a super cool feature on VioletsMC where YOU get to become the shop owner. You can rent a plot, build your own store, and sell items to other players on the server (or even have others sell their items to you in your own area!).
To visit the area:
/warp playershops - don’t forget to bring some money with you and a good pair of shoes for walking.
"Why should I even set up a shop there?"
- Plots will be able to give you access to offline sales so that you don't need to be online to make sales! Just set up your shop and wait for players to stop by!
- If you're secretive about your base and don't want users to know where you live within the SMP, you can just create a shop within the plots!
- Potentially make more in-game currency than you would by selling within the chat. You can set up a shop that catches the eyes of players and can draw in that cash! Building your own unique shop can be a great way to bring players in.
Renting a plot
Getting started is as easy as finding an empty plot and giving the rent sign a punch. One punch will rent the area for a whole week, but you can punch it a total of four times to rent the plot for an entire month (well, 4 weeks to be exact.). If you rent a plot by accident or simply change your mind on it, you can Shift Right Click the same sign and click on the Watermelon to cancel it.
Keep in mind you won’t receive back 100% of your money back.
Plot options
Yellow/Small: 5x5x10 - $21k weekly
Orange/Medium: 9x9x15 - $49k weekly
Red/Large: 15x15x20 - $84k weekly
Pink/Extra Large: 21x21x25 - $147k weekly
Chest-shops
You must click the chest with the item you wish to sell. Then, type the amount of money you wish to sell the item for within the chat. Once you've done that, you must place the item(s) into the chest!
The item you choose to sell is the item you must put within the chest. You cannot sell more than one variety of items within a single chest.
Green username = Shop has items for sell
Red username = Shop doesn't have any items stocked
Useful commands
/qs create <amount> - Creates a new chest shop
/qs price <amount> - Changes the price of the item
/qs remove - Removes the shop entirely
/qs setowner <user> - Allows you to transfer ownership of the shop
/qs staff - Allows you to add or remove another person from your chest shop, this will allow them to interact with the shop and restock it if needed.
